The Department for Education is a ministerial government department responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, schools, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England.

UpSkill Digital won the Skills Bootcamp tender as part of the government’s Plan for Jobs. The aim of the programme was to empower marginalised groups and those who felt adversely affected by the digital divide, to develop their skill set, gain practical hands-on experience so that they could find better career opportunities, and meet employers that could help them secure meaningful employment.

Using targeted recruitment UpSkill sourced delegates across deprived communities in London. Learners joined the Skills LaunchPad programme, offering an in-depth insight into important aspects of digital marketing, and worked on client-facing projects to increase their industry experience. Upskill Digital worked directly with companies to understand talent requirements and secured interviews for attendees.
